Product:
The Rubber Radiation Reducing gloves are manufactured from rubber compounded with lead. They provide protection from X-rays and are available in three versions:
a) Light - Thickness 0.20 mm, Lead Equivalent = 0.10 mm
b) Medium - Thickness 0.28 mm, Lead Equivalent = 0.16 mm
c) Heavy - Thickness 0.38 mm, Lead Equivalent = 0.20 mm |
Sizes:
Rubber X-rays protection gloves are available in sizes of 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5 & 9
|
Manufacturing Details:
Manufacturing is done by dipping of moulds in a solution of rubber compounded with lead and chemicals which preserve the characteristics of the glove and protect them from photo-oxidation. Thickness depends upon number of dips and layers formed during dips. The first layer is pure rubber (Rubber Solution without lead) for the protection of user from residual lead particles and for making it resistant to traction. The gloves are anatomic shaped with / without a beading, easy to wear, soft and comfortable. They provide high degree of protection from radiation. |
Absorption Co-efficient:
Results of the measurements taken with thermo-luminescent dosimeter type LIF (10/99) for 60 KVP and 80 KVP, thermo- luminescent dosimeter type LIF (11/99) for 100 KVP and 125 KVP are as under |
